So, my first honesty request is for anyone who has any advice, comments, criticisms, or general feedback on any digital camera on the market, that has at least 7x optical zoom.

Hello one and all!

So...I moved in with Babe (my girlfriend) and Terreca (our friend) and we now have our own apartment. Being a grown-up in terms of money sucks, but otherwise it's great. We were paying for our internet service, but we didn't have a computer/laptop, which was dumb, but - NOW WE HAVE A LAPTOP THAT WORKS!! *YAY*

I don't know if this means I'll have more internet time. It might. It might not. *>.<* I get so wrapped up in everything I have to do, and spending time with Babe, and finding time to be with my family, and taking care of Jake (our puppy!) that the internet and fandom and all that kind of take a seat in the waaaaay "back of my mind".

Anywayz, I want to reacquaint myself with the on-line world and then try my hand at writing. Lets see where it takes me! *^_______^*

Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean says she lost her crown because of a comment she made about gay marriage and not because she had been skipping appearances.

Prejean told Matt Lauer on NBC'S "Today" show Friday that she "absolutely" had been dethroned because of the comment, when she said marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Prejean lost her title Wednesday after the California pageant's executive director said Prejean was skipping Miss California USA events while speaking out against gay marriage at unsanctioned appearances.

Prejean denied that and calls her firing a set up. She says "tolerance needs to be a two-way street."

Is this woman kidding me?

"Tolerance needs to be a two-way street", says she who says and believes that "marriage should be between a man and a woman" only. She has no tolerance for marriage between two people of the same sex, yet she wants people to tolerate her beliefs. They are showing her tolerance, I think - they have aired her words and no one is stopping her from speaking out against gay marriage; she is not in jail, or being denied any of her rights...she's just not crowned anymore.

Mind you, I don't think it was fair of them to ask her such a question. Preferences over foods, musics, and drinks, hobbies, and politics are one thing - moral and personal beliefs are another. They wouldn't ask her if she was a christian or a muslim or believed in purple aliens...not that I think the issue of same-sex marriage isn't important, or relevant, or completely appropriate for attention and concern. I just don't think they should have asked her a question where, no matter her answer, she was going to get shit for it. *shrug*

Still, that gall of demanding two-way tolerance when you are not all that tolerant...hmm.
